The Club would like to bring to the attention of Members this recently published  Ambrey Security Alert advising of a sea mine that has been washed up on the shores of Turkey, in the Black Sea.

Note the Ambrey Advice: Vessels calling the Black Sea are advised to conduct comprehensive dynamic voyage threat assessments. Additionally, vessels are advised to minimize sailing during low visibility conditions in the northern Black Sea and to post lookouts to spot suspicious objects on the water’s surface.

The Club would take this opportunity to remind Members of the notice published in May 2023 warning of “Drifting Mines and Other Threats – Black Sea” and of Risk Alert 94 that warns of possible drifting mines in Georgian Coastal Waters.”
