The Managers have been made aware by the Club’s Durban correspondents, P&I Associates (Pty) Ltd., of recent changes (detailed in the pdf below) that have been introduced by the South African Maritime Safety Authority in relation to the requirements that are necessary for ships requiring immobilisation, lay-up, stopping or anchoring for repairs within South Africa's territorial waters, outside harbours or fishing harbours. Members are recommended to draw this information to the attention of Masters of vessels likely to be operating in, or transiting South African waters.
