Revised Timeline for Biofouling enforcement in Brazil

It has been brought to the Club’s attention that the application of penalties and sanctions associated with the implementation of the biofouling regulations in Brazil, originally scheduled to take effect on 1 February 2026, will now be postponed until 10 June 2026.

Members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with RA 117 Biofouling Management – Navigating Global Regulatory requirements and in particular Annex 3 Biofouling Regulations in Brazil which provides insight into the Application, Requirements, Penalties and Recommendations of the regulations.
