The Paris MoU has released its Port State Control Annual Report 2025, providing a comprehensive overview of Port State Control activity and performance across the Paris MoU region, together with key inspection trends observed during the year.
The report highlights an increase in the detention rate during 2025 and identifies fire safety, structural and electrical elements, and seafarer welfare as some of the most common areas of non-compliance identified during inspections.
The latest Flag State and Recognised Organisation performance lists are also included. Members may find the report useful in understanding current Port State Control trends and areas of regulatory focus when preparing vessels for inspection and reviewing their compliance programmes.
