Paris and Tokyo MoUs to Conduct Joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign on Cargo Securing

The Paris MoU and Tokyo MoU will conduct a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Cargo Securing from 1st September to 30th November 2026. 

The campaign will focus on verifying compliance with SOLAS requirements for the safe loading, stowage and securing of cargo units and cargo transport units. Port State Control Officers (PSCOs) will use a harmonised inspection questionnaire to assess cargo securing arrangements, the implementation of Cargo Securing Manuals, the condition of securing equipment and crew awareness of cargo safety procedures. 

Members and Masters are encouraged to review the CIC checklist and ensure full compliance ahead of PSC inspections. Where further guidance is required, Members should consult their local agents or the Club’s correspondents. 

This notice is valid until 30th November 2026 and will become invalid on 1st December 2026.
