Further US sanctions targeting Iranian oil/petroleum activities
US Cracks Down on Iran Oil Network Involving UAE, India, and China Entities

On 10th April 2025 the US announced further designations related to Iranian oil exports, including:
- Jugwinder Singh Brar – said to own several shipping companies with a fleet of 28 vessels. His fleet is said to have transported Iranian oil for the National Iranian Oil Company and the Iranian military;
- 4 entities based in UAE and India that are identified as owning and operating vessels on behalf of Jugwinder Singh Brar;
- 4 companies that are said to have engaged in significant transactions concerning petroleum or petroleum products from Iran.
Also designated are a Chinese terminal operator (Guangsha Zhoushan Energy Group Co Ltd), 3 vessel management companies and 2 vessels said to have engaged knowingly in significant transactions for Iranian petroleum:
- Guangsha Zhoushan – identified as owning and operating a crude oil terminal in China and reported to have received Iranian crude oil;
- Marziya Shipping OPC Pvt Ltd, Rising Phoenix Provider NV, and Valiant Marine Ventures FZE – identified as vessel management companies whose tankers have transported petroleum and/or petrochemical products from Iran;
- 2 vessels (VIRGO and AMOR) –managed by Marziya Shipping and Valiant respectively.
