Southern California Air Emissions Alert for Tankers

Long Beach based law firm Peacock Piper Tong & Voss have prepared an alert concerning US South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule 1142 pertaining to gaseous leaks from tank vessels. They say that the current conditions at Los Angeles / Long Beach may present a “perfect storm” for violations of this rule. Notwithstanding COVID-19, the district has confirmed that it has no plans to suspend its enforcement of the rule.
