Spain - Refuge Regulations Developed

April 2004

On February 6 2004 the Spanish government passed Royal Decree 210/2004, enacting the provisions of EU Directive 2002/59/EC, which, among other things, imposed a deadline on EU member states to provide details of their plans concerning places of refuge. This royal decree was published in the Official Gazette on February 14 2004 and has already entered into force.
