The latest update, 25 April 2023, from our correspondents Mutual Marine Services & Transport Al-Mushtaraka Ltd in Port Sudan advises that the situation in Port Sudan remains stable, markets open people going about their daily business. All roads and bridges remain open. Cargo operations, load and discharge continuing as normal, including at the oil terminal at Bashayer. The situation remains fluid and could change without any warnings.

Members are encouraged to obtain the latest advise from local correspondents, local agents, government agencies and other reliable sources, and to proceed with extreme caution when navigating in the vicinity of the region.

Latest circular (JWLA-031) dated 25th April 2023 on the current Listed Areas (areas of perceived enhanced risk) from Joint War Committee has added Sudan under the JWC Listed Areas for Hull War, Piracy, Terrorism and Related Perils
