U.S. Customs - Automated Manifest Systems (AMS) Regulations - FAQs

Following numerous queries concerning the 24 hour advance cargo manifest regulation (which became effective on 5 December 2002) the U.S. Customs Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has published a Frequently Asked Questions ("FAQs") document in which they provide their responses to those questions.

The FAQs document can be downloaded from the CBP webpage on the Trade Act of 2002 - Advance Electronic Information. It will be updated as new questions arise and should, therefore, be monitored on a regular basis.
