Member Training Course 2023
The Steamship Mutual Member Training Course will return in 2023, taking place in London and Southampton.
The Course includes presentations, workshops and discussions lead by prominent guest speakers and Club Managers. The aim of the Course is to provide an opportunity for delegates involved in P&I claims, insurance and risk management to expand their knowledge and understanding of key P&I topics and issues. It also provides an opportunity for delegates to spend time with the Club Managers and their peers from other Shipping companies.
Key topics include:
• Hands-on bridge simulator training
• Interactive collision and casualty response workshops
• Oil pollution
• Loss prevention
• Cyber security
Social events around the Course will take advantage of the rich maritime heritage of Southampton.

Please note that throughout the course the dress code will be business casual, but jackets are recommended for the gentlemen for the dinner events. If you have any questions please direct them to: [email protected]
Course costs:
The Course, including all transport within the UK, meals and social events is free of charge. Delegates will be expected to meet their own travel costs to/from London and the cost of hotel accommodation. You can find more information about the cost here.
Course photography:
Photographs will be taken throughout the course. Please advise us if you do not wish to have your photograph taken. The photographs will be to record the course and will also be used as general marketing material and for future Member Training Courses.
