The Club's sixth residential training course for Members will take place in London and Southampton from 24 to 29 June 2019.

The aim of the course is to provide an opportunity for representatives of the Club's Members who are involved with P&I insurance and risk management to spend time with the Managers’ London Representatives.  Delegates can explore P&I issues in greater detail than is otherwise usually possible during the course of business visits.

Building upon the experience of previous courses, there will be an emphasis on the active participation of delegates by means of workshops and case-studies. There will also be talks on topical P&I issues by a number of guest speakers. The social events that are planned outside the course hours will take advantage of the maritime heritage of the course venue and provide an opportunity for delegates to experience the English countryside outside the constraints of London.

The course covers many key topics which include loss prevention, cyber security and oil pollution, in addition to collision and casualty response. An outline of the course programme and topics is available here

The maximum capacity of the course is 30 delegates so you are advised to reserve a place as soon as possible.

Applications for participation should be submitted as directed in the application form which can  be accessed here .

Delegates will need to meet their own costs of travel to and from the U.K., as well as the cost of hotel accommodation. Rooms have been reserved for delegates at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London, Westminister (£169 inclusive of VAT) for the night of 23 June, and the Leonardo Royal Hotel Grand Harbour, Southampton (£165 per night inclusive of VAT) from 24-29 June on a bed & breakfast basis.

We look forward to welcoming delegates once more in June.
