Australian Maritime Safety Authority Marine Notices

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is charged with the responsibility for ensuring the safety of Australian flagged vessels and foreign flagged vessels in Australian ports, and the seafarers on board.
International and national conventions and regulatory frameworks provide the standards enforced by AMSA.
The authority has recently issued a direction for cruise vessels carrying over 100 passengers to limit sulphur emissions while at berth in Sydney Harbour.

AMSA Marine Notices effective 1 January 2017 onwards
The AMSA have issued updated marine orders also coming into effect on 1 January 2017.
Marine Order 32 (Cargo Handling Equipment) and Marine Order 34 (Solid Bulk Cargos) have been updated and are effective as of 1 January 2017.
