In response to the Mpox outbreak in Africa, and the recent World Health Organization (WHO) declaration that the current Mpox outbreak is a public health emergency of international concern, WHO has launched an international Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan (SPRP) document.

Further to the above, the Club has recently released RA 109 - Mpox – Guidance for shipboard operations, intended to assist the maritime industry in addressing the day to challenges of living and working with Mpox.
