E.O. 13780  introduces new restrictions on travel to the U.S for nationals from  the states  of  Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

In contrast to E.O. 13769 that it replaces, It is noteworthy that immigration from Iraq is not targeted in this latest E.O.

The U.S. based law firm Freehill, Hogan & Mahar LLP have issued a guidance note on the implications of the aforementioned E.O. The guidance note is available to download here

Members should seek further advice from the Managers regarding the impact of this amended E.O. on crew members from any of the countries concerned affected by this restriction in the event that they should require medical treatment in the U.S.
