• The Club’s overall claims experience for 2017 was significantly higher than comparable figures in all recent years. However, whilst the cost of claims within the US$10 million retention in 2017 was significantly higher than in 2016, it was comparable with all earlier recent years, suggesting that 2016 was an anomaly. 
  • The average size of attritional claims increased by 16.1% compared to the previous year, a reversion to the long term upward trend. 
  • Fourteen Pool claims had been reported for 2017; similar to the position in previous years. Three of these involved the Club.
